Prayer
You can get involved by becoming one of our prayer partners. Prayer is a vital part of our support. Without adequate prayer cover, we couldn’t be here to do this work. You can respond to our periodic prayer requests or you can become a part of our more intense prayer program as a prayer partner, upon whom we can rely for regular prayer support. Financially
Hope in Transit exists through support from individuals, churches, and foundations. Our ability to continue this work is directly tied to this support. You or your church can help in several ways.
Our greatest need is personal support. Many foundations will contribute to program costs but not to personal support, so we need to raise this money from individuals and churches. You, your family, your church, or your Bible study group can support us personally with monthly, quarterly, or other regular gifts, or with one-time gifts.
We also need to raise monthly program support for the traveling music school program. Because we travel to where the native young people are instead of having a “brick and mortar” facility, our costs for this program are very low. However, there are still costs associated with traveling. Gasoline, insurance, and other “road” expenses, as you know, have more than kept up with inflation. We can’t operate without these expenses being covered. Due to the great generosity and support of the Kid Brothers Foundation, these expenses have been covered each year. But with the costs rising, we need to raise more money in order to do all of the programming we’d like to do in 2008. We are now raising program support for 2008, and would welcome your support. Instruments
We currently take instruments with us to the traveling school locations, and when we finish the week and move on we have to take the instruments with us to use in the next location. We’d like to work toward supplying the native young people with instruments, first in a “loan” program and eventually for them to keep. What a ministry, and what a great chance for you to directly impact one of these young people! Our “wish list”:
